I first read The Parable of the Sower about 2 years ago. It connected very deeply with me; my personal beliefs and my own concerns for our future. Since that first reading, the ideals that Octavia Butler presented through Earthseed have taken a growing importance in my life. I am pleased to see the growing emergence of ecovillages and communities like Solseed promoting awareness and stewardship of our world, as well as encouraging us to look beyond what we know and into the worlds beyond us for our future.

I look forward to learning more about Solseed and it's members.
