SpaceWiki and New Space Exhibition

    • Not much there yet
    • Need something there to attract people
      • Articles about CEOs & management teams of the 7 New Space companies
      • Caricatures of those people
      • Article describing SpaceWiki's mission and purpose
      • Reskinning ... but don't want to look too slick or it may actually be counter-productive ... want to appear grass roots since we are
  • Plan is to get more material at the New Space conference

Disney

  • Are they annoyed that someone else is now trying to work on this?
    • Ben should reply-all to Brandon's email and see if we can find out how they're doing

Book club etc

  • Brandon just sent out personalized invitations
  • Any responses? Only Ted pointing out truncated messages aren't always
  • Katie seems like she will be involved

Personal Outreach

  • We each sent out a message this past week ... and it was awesome
  • We could call in to the Space Show

Kindred 2010

  • Brandon and Shelley have looked at the Windward campground location
    • They have 30 years of experiments with living on the land, reuse of materials, etc
    • Campground is not an ideal location
      • Unpaved road
      • Port-a-potties
      • No particularly scenic natural setting
    • Fee is $4/person/day, but not a whole lot cheaper overall than other campgrounds
  • We could have a 1-day Open Space in Portland as a run-up to a Longest Day Party
    • Or just make it a really great outdoor party, while still inviting kindred groups (space enthusiasts, intentional communities, environmentalists)
  • Meanwhile, get more co-conveners to take on logistics, maybe for a September timeframe for Kindred 2010
    • That way we don't have to decide on a location right now

Ways to Make $

  • Write program to figure out which Twitter users are interested in both space and the environment, and make it generalizable so others could use it, and sell it
  • Buy the copyrights to the Parable books, and add pages at the back in later editions about SolSeed?
  • Start a fashion line of Starfarer clothing

  • Brandon ... get email working on the solseed and spacewiki ... by Tuesday
  • Brandon ... get caricaturist lined up for conference ... by Next Call
  • Brandon ... get back to Andrew and Walt and the space group about no Kindred 2010 at the Summer Solstice, but starting to plan for Kindred 2010 later in the year, or maybe even Kindred 2011 ... by Tuesday
  • Brandon ... children's book update ... by Next Call
  • Ben ... reply to Brandon's email to Disney (just being in touch, our group has next meeting on May XX, hoping to have a reply by then) ... by tonight
