Goals (1 Year)
- Income run rate of $100,000/year (~$9000/month) -- Brandon is really worried about that
- Need to incorporate a business
-
Place: Ownership of a site by Winter Solstice 2010 - Media: Publish 2 SolSeed books, a 6-minute video (and write script for a 15-minute one), and a great website -- Ben
- Both books are now moving
- Website: front page looks cooler, but need to work on it more next quarter
- Spiritual Community: Regular, impactful ceremonies led by multiple people -- Shelley
- Going very well ...
- Next service will be on the Equinox, seed topic: Freedom from Judgement

- Green ... One thorough sponsorship campaign
- Super Green ... Five thorough sponsorship campaigns
- Place:
- Yellow ... firm decision and commitment for pocket cottage timeline
- Green ... inspiring concept plans for the pocket cottage
- Ben: might this be easier than committing to a timeline?
- Super Green ... plans you could build from, and a builder
- Media:
- Yellow ... work on the big book every other week, average 250 words/week (500 per session)
- Green ... average 500 words/week for the big book all quarter (currently in danger of missing this goal)

Company Incorporation
Articles of Incorporation: http://www.filinginoregon.com/forms/pdf/business/10.pdf <- My recommendation is that we get this filled out by hand or on this wiki page and then someone does the online filing here: https://secure.sos.state.or.us/ABNWeb/

The church question
- A church can:
- be more choosy about who's "in" than a nonprofit
- be more central to people's lives, as it is to Brandon's life
- be a certain type of educational institution, with a set of values to teach that then certify students to teach those values themselves
- serve as a filter so we don't have a bunch of people signing up who really only want to make a surface/ephemeral commitment
- But a church can also:
- be a revolting idea to lots of people interested in space (even those who feel that looking at Earth from space is a quasi-spiritual experience)
- make people who've read the "SolSeed is not a religion" statements on the wiki feel betrayed
- make it difficult for us to get respect as an organization
- In any case, it will take awhile to develop a fully coherent set of beliefs, so found the business and nonprofit first
SpaceWiki
- Wiki pages are in pretty good shape
- Still need to put together the rest of the sponsorship-campaign packet (quotes, photos, etc)
- Target next week for sending it to SpaceX
Backyard cottage
- Brandon and Shelley still considering whether there should be a private-ownership model vs. a model where the SolSeedVillage is owned by the nonprofit or the church or something
WWWs
- Brandon: Send out 10 more requests for positive quotes about SpaceWiki ... by next call
- Ben: Send email to Christina asking her to contact Desiree
- Shelley ... write up a description of the prospective financial system for the 3-person eco-village ... by next call
- Brandon and Shelley ... schedule a time to talk about the cottage ... immediately after this call
