- Ben's had a rough problem at work ... has been working on it for over a week, doesn't see a solution yet, but not a lot of things left to try
- Brandon got a lot of stuff done at work ... didn't get to eat lunch, but still a really good day
- Sequoia went swinging for the first time today
- Shelley is fine ... a little sad because last day of vacation and all sorts of things hoped for done are not yet done ... feels like a lame person (Eeyore)
WWWs from last time (slightly revised)
- Shelley ... make sure new ones are washed and neatly prepared ... by Friday
- Shelley ... assess brushes and paint; make list of supplies needed ... by Friday
- Shelley ... send a check to Ryan ... by Tuesday
- Shelley ... snail-mail a caricature to Petter ... by Tuesday (He gave B $20, so B needs to send him a caricature)
- Brandon ... fish for quotes from NewSpace 2010 attendees (2 so far) about how awesome we were ... by next call

- Brandon is sending emails asking users to either give a quote about how awesome we are, or edit their wiki page
- We want to approach SpaceX next week, so need to finish preparing materials this week

- Yellow ... Created sponsor-specific inspiring materials and approached one potential sponsor with those to ask about them sponsoring an event
- Green ... One thorough sponsorship campaign
- Super Green ... Five thorough sponsorship campaigns
- Place:
- Yellow ... firm decision and commitment for pocket cottage timeline
- Green ... inspiring concept plans for the pocket cottage
- Super Green ... plans you could build from, and a builder
- Media:
- Yellow ... work on the big book every other week, average 250 words/week (500 per session)
- Green ... average 500 words/week for the big book all quarter
- Super Green ... average 1400 words/week for the big book all quarter
Backyard cottage
- Ben and Brandon/Shelley should independently consider how we should finance the cottage
- Loans?
- Just cash? ($30-50 thousand total?)
- Who owns it? gets to say what happens to it?
- Ben says (almost entirely) what happens from the inside paint in
- Shelley and Brandon have power on what happens to the exterior
- Rent? Ben could pay a share of property taxes?
- Utilities? Shelley wouldn't feel like Ben had to contribute much, but Ben would feel guilty if he didn't pay a fair share
- Should this be a model for how the eco-village will work when it grows larger?
- Community ownership, or a mechanism for the community to someday buy out the property?
Disney
They've downloaded the video but haven't said anything yet ... need to ping them and see what's up
Book
We worked on a "Truth, Beauty, and Values" section, starting with a discussion of science and why we believe in it, and also an "Orbiting Mini-Worlds" section about space colonies, for a total of 799 words.
WWWs
- Brandon ... check with Ryan that he has received the check ... Tuesday
- Brandon ... talk to Ted about possibly hiring him to work on incorporating a business ... tomorrow
- Brandon ... put color corrected book images onto memory stick ... Tuesday
