OnePagePlan
Goals (1 Year)
- Income run rate of $100,000/year (~$9000/month) -- Brandon is really worried about that
- Need to incorporate a business
- September 2 is the closing deadline for this year's SBIR application process ... seems unrealistic, but barely possible if Brandon takes some time off work
- Place: Ownership of a site by Winter Solstice 2010
- Media: Publish 2 SolSeed books, a 6-minute video (and write script for a 15-minute one), and a great website -- Ben
- Used to say we would finish the 15-minute video ... Brandon agrees this is a good recalibration
- Website: front page looks cooler, but need to work on it more next quarter
- Spiritual Community: Regular, impactful ceremonies led by multiple people -- Shelley
- Next service will be on the Equinox, seed topic: Freedom from Judgement
Neighborhood picnic
- 300-400 people came through
- Mural went well ... not specifically SolSeed, just a Buckman-related mural
- Didn't talk about SolSeed at all ... just supporting the neighborhood
- Our name did appear on the newsletter
Backyard Cottage
EcoVillage Draft (from Shelley and Brandon conversation)
Who owns what?
- Condo model
- EcoVillage owns all property and outside grounds
- Occupants own living space from the inside paint inward
- EcoVillage has the first right of refusal on any sale of a living space
- Upon expulsion, EcoVillage must buy living space back at a fair market value
- In case of disagreement, value is determined by an independent 3rd party agreed to by both EcoVillage and current occupant with cost split between them
How are decisions made?
- By consensus of the community
- If this isn't resolving, then appeal to a vote of the board of directors
- Board is elected by full members according to bylaws
- At first, we'll be so small that everyone can be a board member
- Size should max out at 5-7
Who is eligible to join?
- Offsite trial period (path to membership)?
- Have them live nearby at first, in rental housing?
- Trillium Hollow model
- Onsite: provisional membership for first year, full membership thereafter
- Each family must include 1 SolSeed member in good standing
- Until the eco-village includes 6 family units, all new family units must be accepted by full consensus of all EcoVillage members
Next steps

- Sell the land and exterior of the existing house to said organization
SpaceWiki
- Sponsorship-campaign packet (quotes, photos, etc) is in progress
- Need to ask people to try to keep the irreverent tone instead of copying dry prose from Wikipedia
